31 Mar 2017
New location, date and format for the fourth edition of Tourism Investment. After the first three years in Bergamo, the event will move to Milan, on April 4 at the Melia Hotel Milano, Via Masaccio. The event will have an important appendage the following day at Fuori Salone; as a matter of fact, it will be set up in Lambrate during the exhibition designed by the architect Simone Micheli. "It is not a coincidence that we decided to transfer our in-depth meeting on tourism real estate in Milan, during one of the most intense week in Milan, during BIT and Fuori Salone. it was a way to emphasize how today's hospitality and design can be well combined. We take care of investments and thus close the circle, "says the director - head of Italy by PKF hotelexperts, Giorgio Bianchi, who along with About Hotel are the creators and promoters of the event.
"During the whole day, the event includes a series of interventions of absolute thickness", states Bianchi. "It starts early in the morning with an institutional part dedicated to increasing public matrix initiatives aimed at enhancing the Italian real estate assets in the tourist field. " The protagonists are essentially the creators of the container showcase Italian Hospitality, already successfully tested at the Expo Real in Monaco di Bavaria and Berlin (IHIF) by Confindustria Hotels, in collaboration with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and the ministry of Tourism.
Afterwards, the managing partner of PKF hotelexperts, Michael Widmann, will throw an international outlook on the scenario of hotel real estate in Italy. Some representatives of the banks and major national institutions, including CDP and Medio Credito Italiano as well, is therefore compared with operators to deepen the state of credit conditions for intervention in hotels developments.
In the afternoon, it will be the turn of wellness analyzed from the point of view of investment in innovation and design, attended among others by Simone Micheli and Stefano Ricci Technogym. Finally, the focus will shift to brand: first the Italians and then international ones. On stage the prominent names, including -for the national brands - Valtur, Planetaria Hotels, Piazza di Spagna View, Atahotels, Falkensteiner and Allegroitalia; for the international groups: Suzi Yoder - Best Western, Arnoldo Aiolfi - Club Med, Timothy Walton - Marriott International, Georg Schlegel - Choice and Sara Ranghi - Meliá Hotels.
"The interest in our country is growing constantly," resumes Giorgio Bianchi "Recently I was also at the Mipim in Cannes. Our country, by the way, it appeared for a time quite compact and with a lot of quality content. In the area dedicated to the Peninsula I saw many traders and investors with concrete and attractive project. We ourselves have been approached by several major international names, a big development plan where we are working on, is in the Dolomites. "
With the recent addition of hotel assets in the "mainstream" of the real estate capital market, it is in fact increasing the attention to alternative structures to the classic urban vocation in business hotels. Italy and from this point of view is certainly in a privileged situation. Just think how many leisure destinations from the great potential exists in our Peninsula.
"Not only," adds Bianchi. "Many international companies are now looking for agreements with small to medium-sized groups, to accelerate its global expansion. Our country, rich as it is of a highly professional company, is therefore certainly a privileged target. Especially in Germany, I met many operators, developers and investors, who follow with interest the events of the Peninsula in search of new opportunities. "
Of course, not all the Italian criticality may, however, disappear. To curb our potential are the usual problems: one is the traditional approach of national hotel companies, that often combine management and ownership in a single entity, thus greatly reducing their expansion possibilities. On the other hand, there is still no certainty in the authorization procedures and procedural. "It's not like anywhere else there are not the same difficulties, "explains Giorgio Biachi. "Just that we often things get complicated too. Without consultants and architects of is therefore likely to lose several times to heal the formal aspects of a project." But this will definitely speak on April 4 to Tourism Investment.
